  1. Terry says:

I attended this school for three years back in the day. I still cannot figure out why they built such scary looking schools. I made it out of there with out being debauched completely!

  2. Terry says:

I have seen the photograph before on oldohioschools.com. I wanted to show the lady that I work with a picture of our creepy school and couldn’t remember the website. I google-imaged it and a picture of it linked me to your website. I actually mis-spoke, Mrs. Lappin was kindergarten. Like I said Mrs. Ball-first, Mrs. MacPhail-second, Mrs. McGowan-third and fourth, Mrs. Beamer-fifth, Mrs. Miller-sixth, Mrs. Oswald-homeroom seventh and Mrs. Gravo-homeroom eighth and then to Timken Vocational. Do you by any chance remember anyone with the last name, Bennett. My brother is nine years older and my sister is eight years older than me.

  3. Terry says:

Bennett is my brother’s and was my sister’s last name until she got married. His name is Kennie(Kenneth) and her name is Darlene. We grew up on Kennet Ct. N.W.(kind of down the road from the McKinley Monument). All of my siblings(two brothers and one sister) are still in Ohio. My husband and I stayed in Ohio for awhile. My oldest son was born in Canton but we left Ohio a bit after that and now live in Virginia.

I plan on asking them if they are familiar with your name. It was definitely a creepy building but it made for an interesting connection and conversation. Thank you.
